Alfred John Ebel

Alfred John Ebel, Sr., age 90 of Ferrum, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019. He was born November 3, 1928 to the late John and Frances Ebel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by both his first wife Thea Ebel and his second wife Nordis Ebel. Mr. Ebel proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. Surviving is son Alfred J. Ebel, Jr.; daughter Mary Gaye Starkey; grandsons John and Michael; and other grandchildren. The family would especially like to thank the 77 Restaurant for all they did. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) with Pastor Jerry Brim officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave, Rocky Mount.
