Amelia "Amy" Leigh Ashworth

Amelia "Amy" Leigh Ashworth, 51, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023. She was born September 8, 1971 the daughter of her parents Fred Lee Wade and Linda Critzer Mills. Also surviving are her husband, Sidney Ashworth; daughter, Caitlin Scott; son, Bradley Ashworth (April); stepson, Matthew Ashworth; three grandchildren, Kyleigh Spence, Averi "LouLou" Bush, Brenna Scott; brother, Hubert Mills; sister, Lori Mills. Amy absolutely loved being a hairdresser and cherished all of her clients; to say she touched the hearts and hair of many is an understatement! She served the community being a wonderful beautician for over 30 years. She was also a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and "Gammy". She adored her granddaughters and was excited for a new grandbaby on the way. She thought a lot of her fur baby, Truvy, as well. Amy was a bright spot in so many lives. She loved music, flowers, spending time with family and living life. She will be missed by many. Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
