Barbara Chambers

Barbara Chambers age 78 of Rocky Mount passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at her home. She was born on August 18, 1947 a daughter of the late Paul and Osie Reed Turpin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Chambers; sister, Elizabeth Driscoll, brother, Gary Turpin. She was a member of the World Wide Church of God.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Turman; her granddaughters, Amanda Brumit (Jonathan), Nicole Hunt (Zavy), and Samantha Higgins; four great-grandchildren, Hazel, Tru, Rayne and Harmonee. She is also survived by two brothers, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to say a very special thankyou to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County and of Roanoke for their love and care not only shown but given especially to Jordan and Hannah.

In keeping her wishes, Ms. Chambers will be cremated and services will be private at a later date to be determined.
