Barbara B Clingenpeel

Barbara Jane Barbour Clingenpeel, 90, of Boones Mill, VA, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026. Barbara was born in Franklin County, VA, to Coley Lee Barbour and Mabel Akers Barbour. She graduated from Franklin County High School in 1954. Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Walter Clingenpeel and siblings Billy Barbour, C.L. Barbour and Anne Barbour Davis.

She is survived by her caring daughters, Cindy Lowe and Susan (Mark) Davis; special grandchildren, Bethany Avery (Jon), Ben Davis, and Rachel Lowe; great-granddaughters Lydia and Robin Avery.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 30, at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, VA. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29 from 6 until 8 p.m at the funeral home.
