Betty Turner

Betty N. Turner, age 79 of Rocky Mount, passed away August 9, 2021. Betty was born March 10, 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack R. Turner; mother Lillie Nicely; step-father Henry Lewis; daughter Darla Ann Turner; brother Eddie Nicely; and son-in-law Bud Roman. She attended Franklin Heights Baptist Church where she especially enjoyed her Sunday School class. Betty had a kind heart, a contagious laugh and she never met a stranger. She just loved people in general but most of all, she loved her Lord. Surviving is her son Jack E. Turner; daughter Kathy Stoner; sons-in-law Donald Stoner and Lee Anders; grandchildren Michael Anders, Brittany Twiggs (Charles), Zachary Stoner, Jocelyn Stoner; great-grandchildren Hunter Anders, Kaden Twiggs, Sadie Twiggs, Mikey Anders and Laiken Anders; cousin and best friend Shirley; special friend Eva Vass. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Rt. 220 Chapel) 7:00 p.m. Thursday with her family receiving friends one hour prior to the service starting at 6:00 p.m. at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 Virginia Market Place Dr., Rocky Mount, VA 24151
