Bobby Feather

Robert (Bobby) Zan Feather, Sr., age 87, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022. Bobby was born the 4^thof 9 children to Ruth Trout Feather and Charles Fleming Feather in Roanoke, VA on February 4, 1935.

Bobby worked many years in the funeral business with Arrington-Bussey and then later with Conner-Bowman Funeral Home. He was a member of the Army Reserves and a previous member of the Rocky Mount Masonic Lodge.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Sonny and Lucian Feather; sisters Mildred McClanahan, Renie Dyer and Martha Ann Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Catherine Feather; sons, Stephen Feather and Robert (Robbie) Z. Feather, Jr. (Sandi); daughters, Stephanie Henly and Temple Altice (Marshall); six grandchildren, Caleb Feather (Priscilla), William Henly (Morgan), Hayley Feather (Omar), Addison Henly (Kendall), Ava Altice and Gabriel Altice; 2 great grandchildren, Cora Feather and Alexis Dalton. Sisters, Tuffy Steger (Carey), Marjorie Veasey, Susie Hess (Bobby); sisters-in-law, Ginger Feather, Jerene Arrington, Glenna Dickens; brothers-in law, Olin Robinson, Leo Robinson (Betty), Marvin Robinson (Mary) and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6^th from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
