Bruce Fields Twiddy

Bruce Fields Twiddy, 81, of Wirtz, Virginia, passed away on July 22, 2026. Born in North Carolina, Bruce was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and longtime welder who worked for Koger Air Corporation in Martinsville until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Elaine Twiddy; siblings Sophie Skinner and Jerry Lee Twiddy; grandson Richard Lyons; and great‑granddaughter Samantha Simmons.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Sue; children Bryan, Shannon, and D’Arcy (Christopher) Puckett; stepchildren Troy Lyons and Tracy Burd; siblings Janis Gaskill, Steve Twiddy, and Timothy Twiddy; numerous grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.

Bruce was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served faithfully in the Moneta Congregation. Known for his kindness, strong work ethic, and love of conversation, he will be dearly missed.

The Memorial service will be held August 15th at 3:00 P.M. EST
