Claude Thomas "Tommy" Robertson

Claude Thomas "Tommy" Robertson, age 82 of Union Hall, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023. He was born July 23, 1941 to the late Claude Peter Robertson and Etta Brown Robertson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Randall Robertson and sister Eraldine Covington. Tommy is survived by his wife of 60 years Nancy S. Robertson; daughters Kelle Ribble, Keri Altice (Jason). Tommy was blessed with six grandchildren Gavin, Payton, Morgan, Tessa, Greyson and Lexie. Also surviving are his brothers-in-law Alton Shoemaker (late wife Ruth), Allen Shoemaker (Nancy); and sister-in-law Judy Hodges (Daniel).

Tommy worked many years as a soil technician for the department of agriculture. After retirement he was able to do what he loved, which was to become a full time farmer. He started Simmons Creek Farms, where he raised beef cattle and tobacca. This was his legacy that will be carried on for generations to come.  

Graveside services will be conducted from the Robertson-Shoemaker Family Cemetery 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Arrangements by Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, Rt. 220, Rocky Mount.
