Claudie Daniel Young

Claudie Daniel Young, age 81 of Ferrum passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 peacefully at home. Claudie was preceded in death by his parents, C.H. and Minnie Young; a son, Samuel; and two brothers, Sterling and Curtis Young. He is survived by his wife, Thelma; children, Alicia Foley (Mike), Daniel Young (Becky), Dorothy Crook (Steve), Stephen Young (Stephanie) and James Gator Young (Linda and six grandchildren); Claudie is also survived by seven grandchildren, Chris and April Foley, Joshua Young and Amy Gordon, Jesse Young, Brock and Brittany Crook; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Young and Kirsten Austin. Also left to cherish his memory is one brother, Junior Young; five sisters, Betty Blankenship, Margaret Cooper, Jean Ruth, Pearl Santrock and Josephine Micolupo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Evangelistic House of Prayer, 545 Running Brook Road, Ferrum, Virginia 24088. Graveside services will be private. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Evangelistic House of Prayer on Rambling Rose Road, Ferrum.
