David Torran Tolliver

David Torran “Pookie” Tolliver age 42 of Penhook (Truevine Area) passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the local hospital. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas & Geneva Coleman Tolliver and Aaron & Laura Tolliver. Pookie is survived by his father, David Reynolds; mother, May Alce “Kitten” Tolliver; his children, Davien Tolliver and Anniston Ryan; brother, Tremaine Tolliver; niece, T-Anna Tolliver; nephews, Amir & Takai Tolliver; aunts, Annie Reynolds, Mable Pullen, Mary Allen, Lottie Tolliver and Nannie Jones; uncles, James, Tony & Jackie Tolliver. He is also survived by his former wife and friend, Emmaline Fitzgerald; longtime friend, Jaquelyn Jaster; other family members and numerous friends. The Tolliver family would like to say a sincere thank you to Dr. Benjamin Philpott and the entire Emergency Room staff at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital for all of their help and support during this trying time. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date and will be announced by Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 VA Market Place Drive, Rocky Mount.
