Delores Tucker Worley

Delores Tucker Worley passed away on September 2, 2026. She was born August 22, 1934 in Alleghany County, VA. She was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil M. Tucker, Sr. and Maude Kitt Tucker, her husband of 49 years, Claude W. Worley, Jr. (Preacher), brother, Cecil M. Tucker, Jr., and Swen Tucker Dudley.

She is survived b her daughter, Crystal F. Worley (Robin) of Ferrum, VA, her brothers, Stewart G. Tucker (Ned), and Franklin D. Tucker; special niece, Nika Davidson of Newport News, VA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Delores worked at H. O. Canfield as an inspector for 44 years. She enjoyed many friendships while she worked there and made lifelong friends, Ellen Long, Rita Unroe, and Nancy Higgins. She was a devoted daughter, wife, sister and mother. She loved t can vegetables, mow grass and decorate for her favorite holiday, Christmas. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and chatting on the phone. She will be missed by those who loved her, especially her daughter. My heart breaks, but my soul rejoices because God chose her to be my mom.

Many thanks to Susan McClure (Brian) who cared for her before her decline and Karen Pigg (special caregiver) with Thriving Well at Home during the end of her life. Also special friends, Melissa Wray and the Gonzalez Torres family.
