Duane Scott Simmons

Duane Scott Simmons, age 61 of Wirtz, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024. Duane was born August 4, 1962 to the late Elmer and Geraldine Simmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Ann Simmons. He loved singing, hunting and fishing but most of all, he loved his family.

Surviving is his loving wife of over 30 years, Rebecca Simmons; daughter Janette Anne Carlisle; sons Robert Alan Carlisle, Martin James Carlisle
(Kristian Rena); grandchildren Erica Renee Carlisle (fiancé Zack Hockaday), Martin James Carlisle, Jr.; great granddaughter Iris Renee Hockaday; brothers Gary Simmons (Roma), Nathan Simmons (Rhonda).

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 Virginia Market Place Dr., Rocky Mount, VA.
