Elizabeth Dewitt Patterson

Elizabeth DeWitt Patterson, 95 of Snow Creek, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at Franklin Health Care of Rocky Mount, VA. She was born in Franklin Co. in August of1914, to the late Will and Belva Lester Dewitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Patterson and an infant daughter, 2 sisters, Barbara DeWitt, Lillian Barbour, a niece, Grace DeWitt and three brothers John, Garland and Royal DeWitt. She was a member of Snow Creek Christian Church. Surviving are sisters, Lucy DeWitt of Martinsville, Lorene Coleman of Rocky Mount, and Mamie Patterson of Baltimore, MD. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 11:00 a.m. at the family cemetery in Snow Creek with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating.
