Elsie Rigney Tuck

Elsie Rigney Tuck, age 100, of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011. She was born May 23, 1910, a daughter of the late Willie and Della Divers Rigney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Coleman Tuck. Surviving are her daughter, Joyce T. Dillon (Terry); her sons, Clarence Tuck of Roanoke, J.T. Tuck (Betty) of Penhook, Marshall Tuck and Dallas Tuck both of Penhook; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Gladys Scott of Penhook, Mamie Brogan of Roanoke, and Odessa Shelton of Hurt. Her family would like to thank her special caregivers, Debbie Broome, Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, and Dr. Mack Longmire. Services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011, with Ministers Mickey Witcher and Ted Clifton officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Saturday, with her family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Joyce and Terry.
