Frances A. Brown

Frances A. Brown, age 78 of Glade Hill and Roanoke died Monday, December 8, 2009. She retired with 25 years of service as a waitress for Viking Lanes in Roanoke. She was born April 14, 1931 a daughter of the late James Doak and Virgie Sayers Beavers. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Milford Brown; infant grandson, Joshua Brown; and three brothers, Glenn, Buck and Cecil Beavers. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; four sons and daughters-in-law; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five brothers; special caregiver and granddaughter, Jessica Poff; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on the fourth and first floors of Friendship Manor for their dedicated love and care shown to Mrs. Brown. Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum, Mountain View Memorial Park, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 with Pastor Rick Poland officiating.
