Hal Edwin Briggs

Hal Edwin Briggs, age 82 of Wirtz, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019. Mr. Briggs was born October 7, 1936 to the late Carl Howard Briggs and Annie Clara Boothe Briggs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy “Dot” Briggs; daughter Tammy Briggs and brother Richard Briggs. Hal served his country in the US Marines for eight years. He was also a machine operator for the Kroger warehouse for many years. Surviving are sons Tony and Chris Briggs; brother Barry Joe Briggs; sisters Karla Ann Wells, Mary Elizabeth Mullins; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements are private by Conner Bowman Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 220 @ Wirtz Rd., Rocky Mount.
