Haley Marie Clay

Haley Marie Clay age 22 of Roanoke and formerly of Franklin County passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in Sentara VA Beach General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jessie Rickmond and grandmother, Jean Rickmond.

Haley never met a stranger and was a ray of sunshine and joyful spirit to everyone she made contact with. She loved to go as the destination never mattered to her as long as she was going. She loved and enjoyed life to the fullest and was determined and content with her life the way it was. She never let her disability stand in her way. She always did it her way and her existence in life was truly a gift to all!

Haley is survived by her mother, Tonya Jackson (Dontrail) of Roanoke; her father, James Clay (April) of Madison Heights; grandparents, Elizabeth and Clayton Martin, Valerie Spradlin and Tammie Chambers; her sisters, Savannah, Brooklyn and Mercedes Clay, and Jaylani Armstrong. She is also survived by other relatives, numerous friends including her special family at Patrick Henry High School.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Conner-Bowman Funeral Home to help with final expenses including hospital and funeral expenses. Haley was not able to obtain life insurance due to her health struggles since birth.

Funeral services will be conducted 6 PM Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Haley's family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 PM to 6 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
