Henry Thomas Hodges

It is with great sadness the family of Tommy Hodges announces his passing. The Lord called him home early Sunday morning, October 16, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tommy enjoyed life and never met a stranger. He loved fishing, football, Nascar racing and never passed up a good card game. His most precious time was spent with his family. You could always find him in the kitchen cooking something special for his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him best.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, George Cabell and Catherine Hodges; two special brothers, Bud and Reb Hodges; nephew, Steven Hurley; two dear friends, Henry (Nob) Smith and Jewell Chitwood.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Tina Hall (Justin) and Lisa Crotts (W.G.); his grandchildren, Cory Pasley, Haley Frye, Brennan, Hayden, Landon, and Reighan Hall, Ashley Kassebaum (John). and Allison Crotts; one great-grandson, Dawson Crotts; special sister, Judy Chitwood; sister-in-law, Louise Hodges. He is also survived by his devoted close friends, Dale Harrison, Wray Furrow, Kenny Perdue and Leon Harrison; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the American Lung Association in his name.

Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Thursday , October 20, 2022 at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 5 p.m. and also at the home of Connie Hodges and Jimmy Smith, Three Oaks Road, Wirtz, VA on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 2 to 6 p.m.
