Jack Randall Hogan

Jack “Rabbit” Randall Hogan age 77 of Boones Mill passed away at home Sunday March 17, 2024 surrounded by his family. Jack was born April 12^th, 1946 son of the late Lawrence Edward and Sara Rucker Hogan. He was also preceded in death by his brothers John and Jim Hogan.

He is survived by his loving wife Louise, his daughters Melinda Hogan Worley (James) of Atlanta GA, and Tammy Hogan Bryant of Boones Mill, VA, Wynna Barrett and Benny Stone of Martinsville. Grandchildren Megan Ritter (Jeremy), Tyler Bryant (Margaret), Lochlyn Dunton, Hope Worley, and Alexis Barrett.  Great grandchildren Beckett, Naomi, Brooks, and Brantley. Brothers Jerry, Joe (Carolyn), Bobby (Debbie) and sisters Melody Barbour (Lynchburg) and Cathy Sue Marsh (Lynchburg) Special thank you to Helen and Betty of Carilion Hospice for their support and care.

Jack was hard working, very giving and caring, and was a master of many things. There was nothing he could not do. He made his living as a mechanic, truck driver, and heavy equipment operator but his true passion was buying and selling. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping, and floating the river with his family and friends. He loved life and never met a stranger, and would always make everyone laugh. Jack loved to entertain and would have many cookouts and bon fires to gather with his family, friends, and community.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Callahan officiating.  The family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 11:00 to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. 

Instead of flowers the family suggests a donation to their favorite charity in honor of, and take a moment to express an act of love or kindness to one another.
