James “Jimmy” Arrington age 70 of Henry, Virginia passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born on February 27, 1953 a son of the late Maynard “Pop” Arrington and Clara Mae Frame. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judith “Judy” Arrington; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Bernice “Billie” Weston; brothers-in-law, Mike “Old Man” Cross, Donald “Buck” Maloy; sisters-in-law, Pam “9 Day Drunk” Betters, and Donna Maloy.
Jimmy was always high on life. When he couldn’t be found working on cars, fishing or watching westerns, he was probably “ridin high” on his Harley or with his “Ole Lady” Judy, the love of his life.
He is survived by his children, Jason Weston (Kim), Amber Ledbetter (Rodney), Victoria “Vickie” Arrington; grandchildren, Erica Weston, Danielle “Sugar Bear” Ledbetter (Ryan), Dixie “Sweet Pea” Lumsden, Kaitlyn “Tater Head” Wilcher, Nathaniel “Lugnut” Lumsden; great-grandson, Bentley Weston; brothers, George “Chipper” Arrington (Betty), Tony Arrington (Francine)
Waddy Arrington (Barbara), Lonnie Arrington (Beverly), Robbie Arrington (Lynore), Herbie Dillon (Donna); Sister, Gwen Amos (Bill); and sisters-in-law, Jacqui McNulty (Bill) and Jeannie “Jeanie Weenie” Weston. Many others who fondly referred to him as “Paw Paw”, “Dad”, “Brother” or “Old Man”.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Magnani officiating. Interment will follow in the Frith-Mullins Family Cemetery. His family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 Virginia Marketplace Drive, Rocky Mount, VA.
