Janie Carol Sloan, 72, of Ferrum, VA passed away Monday night, March 1, 2021 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born June 27, 1948 the daughter of the late Buren Clifford Perdue and Ernestine Turner Perdue. She was preceded in death by her son, Dannie Sloan; brothers, Wayne Perdue, Bobby Perdue; sister, Donna Dillon. Surviving are her husband, Dannie Sloan; son, Craig Sloan; two grandchildren, Hunter Nicole Sloan, Daniel Bryant Sloan; sisters, Betty LaPrade, Roxanne Snyder; brother, David Perdue; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday at Bethany United Methodist Church with Pastor Jimmy Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooper Family Cemetery, Factory Hill Road, Callaway, VA. The family will receive friends at the church Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. before the service starts. Due to the mandates placed by the Governor of Virginia over the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be following the guidelines for social distancing and face masks.
