Janie Marie Sloan, age 74 of Boones Mill, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 31, 2017. She is survived by her brother Simon Gibson; many nieces, nephews and friends; loving caregivers Sharon and Cierra Pitts. Graveside services will be conducted from the Gibson Family Cemetery 11:00 Wednesday with Pastor Bill Hinton officiating. Her family will be receiving friends Wednesday from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the cemetery. Arrangements by Conner Bowman Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 220, Rocky Mount, VA.
