Jay Dewey Martin

Jay Dewey Martin, age 66 of Rocky Mount, left his family to be reunited with Jesus, his sons and family on Monday, February 8, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonza and Ida Martin; his sons Bobby Joe Martin and Paul Anthony Martin; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. He left to forever cherish his memory his wife, Janice Martin; son, Jimmy Martin and wife Renee; daughters, Donna Coffey, Patricia Jones; his brother, Cecil Martin and wife Doris; sisters, Mary Lou Helms and Erma Craddock. Papa Dewey leaves Jessica Martin, Christopher Dillon and wife Blair, Amy Huston and husband Donald, Joey Martin, Joshua Hodges, Kara Coffey, Tyler Martin, C.W. Keith, Kaitlyn Coffey, Elsie Coffey, Callie Martin, and Paul A Martin; great-grandchildren Amber Martin and Chase Huston. A special thanks to Lottie Walters for her many years of prayer concerning our daddy. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
