John Winfred Kinsey

John Winfred Kinsey age 74 of Callaway passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017. John was a self-employed auto mechanic and a farmer. He loved his farm especially working in his garden. Being on his land made him happy and it was a time of comfort and peace. He was born January 7, 1943 a son of the late John T., Jr. (J.T.) and Elizabeth Browning Kinsey. He is survived by his children, Cheryl and Kevin Carter, John Gregory and Becky Kinsey, and Elaine Kinsey; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Tammy and Mark Horton, Beth and Michael Himes, Kathy Kinsey, Tessie and Paul McClung; one very special friend, Judy Myers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and numerous friends. A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted at his home on the land he loved, on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. Arrangements by Conner-Bowman Funeral Home 62 VA Market Place Drive, (Route 220 @ Wirtz Road) Rocky Mount.
