Judy Flora Turner Hylton

Judy Flora Turner Hylton age 74 of Rocky Mount passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

She was born on April 20, 1951, the daughter of Edna Whalen Turner Corns and Amon Woodson Turner. Judy dearly loved her father and was very much a daddy’s girl.  Raised in Bassett, Judy moved to Franklin County after meeting and marrying the love of her life, Michael Brown Hylton (“Mike”).  Judy and Mike had one child, Michael David Hylton (“Dave”).  

She is survived by Mike, Dave, as well as her two sisters, Jettie Turner and Shirley Wilson, and three nephews.  Judy is also survived by her dearly beloved dogs, Puggy and Tina.  

Judy loved living on the farm and caring for all the various farm animals and pets over the years.  She was not afraid of doing the hard work that comes with farm life.  She was very generous to those in need.  Judy was a lover of all animals.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to the Franklin County Humane Society.

Graveside services will be conducted 2 PM Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 PM at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home prior to the service.
