Kay Badger

On Feb 20 2023, Kay Badger left this life and rejoined her husband Rik. She was born on October 2, 1954 to John Paul and Ruth. She later married her best friend Richard Badger who proceeded her in death in 2008. Kay is survived by her sons and their wives, Jason and Cherry Badger and Scott and Heather Badger, her 4 beloved grandchildren- Kaseton, Garrett, Molly and Lilly, her brother and his wife Andy and Catherine Garrett and her sister Ann Slayton and many family and friends.

Kay grew up in Pennsylvania. She later met the love of her life, Richard Badger, while they worked together at a grocery store. They moved to his hometown Binghamton NY and later to Lakeland FL where they raised 2 sons.

Kay was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and to know her was to love her. Kay had a huge heart and loved her family deeply. She loved to be the host but never the center of attention. She enjoyed motorcycle rides with Rik and had a passion for her cars. She loved traveling with her husband and later taking trips with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her world and she was very proud of her family.

Kay had a great life filled with lots of love and we will treasure the memories she leaves us with. She was one of the kindest and purest souls who always put others first.

Her family will hold a visitation ceremony on Saturday Feb 25th at 2pm. Her visitation will be held at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home at 62 Virginia Market Place Dr, Rocky Mount Va.
