Keith Hyun Anderson, age 25, of Moneta went home to be with Jesus on Friday, May 12, 2023. Keith was born on November 23, 1997 in Seoul, South Korea. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul & Irene Baer, Carl & Eleanor Anderson; uncle Steven Anderson.
He is survived by his parents Peter & Deborah Anderson; sister Kayla Martin (Alexander Martin); nephew Finley Martin; birth mom. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Keith was a jokester with an unbelievably generous heart. He was always willing to help someone out, even strangers, and gave without expecting anything in return. Keith was a lifelong basketball player and fan. His home on Smith Mountain Lake was his favorite place where he spent many days boating and nights fishing. He was a great athlete in many sports, loved to write songs, and was a talented drawer. Keith was best pals with his cat, Snitch. He wholeheartedly loved his family and friends, but ultimately God came first.
Keith found God in the last few years and a safe haven in EastLake Community Church. He found healing and comfort in Jesus and was working hard to become a better man with God’s help. We are comforted knowing Keith is now with Jesus, with whom he is not misunderstood.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 2:30 pm at EastLake Community Church, 1201 Timberwood Lane, Moneta, VA 24121, with Pastor Troy Keaton.
