Lela Alderman Young

Lela Alderman Young age 87 of Rocky Mount passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She was born on July 10, 1938 a daughter of the late Arnold Buford and Ella Spencer Alderman.

She is survived by her precious children, grandchildren and her great-granddaughter which includes her three sons, Terry (Pam), Barry and Gary (Melissa); daughters, Sheila Hagy (David) and Teresa Clemons; stepdaughter, Linda Linkous; her grandchildren, Shea Hagy Brown and Trevor Hagy (Sam); one great-granddaughter, Natalie Brown. She is also survived by four brothers, Bruce Alderman, David Alderman (Kumi), Bobby Alderman and Mike Alderman (Vicky); two sisters, Delores Nunn and Nancy Herrman; special friends, David and Debra Kirk, Kenny and JoAnn Sawyer and Cookie Berrier and son, Eddie Overstreet.

A celebration of life for her will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating.
