Lera Chaney Hale

Lera Chaney Hale, age 98 of Ferrum passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. She was born on February 17, 1920 a daughter of the late Henry and Roxie Foster Chaney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Hale; her siblings, Frank Chaney, Jim Chaney, Charlie Chaney, Lucy Parker, Allie Cannaday, Effie James, Della Whorley and Ocie Chaney. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including her caregivers Sandra Mullins and Helen Cannaday. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 with Pastor Mike Magnani officiating. Interment will follow in the Hale Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Avenue (Town Chapel) Rocky Mount.
