Luke Elijah Hope Turner-Rosenblatt

Our beloved son, brother, nephew, grandchild, cousin and friend left us and this earthly domain on Monday, November 6, 2023 to be with his Lord and Savior. Luke was a magical soul that never met a stranger and had a zest for life that only made him more unique and lovable. His death happened unexpectantly due to a seizure.

He graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 2018 where he was very active in band and excelled playing almost every instrument. He was a former member of the Roanoke Children's Choir and played second chair trumpet in the Roanoke Youth Symphony Orchestra. His great love was his adeptness of playing classical piano and he used these skills over the years to play for several churches. He was also a founder of several Christian rock bands. He believed that music could heal and bring people together in peace.

Luke received a BS in music production and was working on his Master of Divinity through Regent University.

In addition to his love of music, Luke was also an activist, nature lover, loved hiking, foraging, and swimming.

Luke is survived by loving mother, Willow L. Rosenblatt, Roanoke, VA; devoted brother, Devon M. Rosenblatt, Louisville, KY; his grandmother with whom he had a special bond, Dawn M Overstreet, Atlanta, GA; his aunts, Meadow S. Overstreet, Atlanta, GA, Kizzy Rosenblatt Jarashow (Mark), Jodi L. Rosenblatt both of New Jersey; cousins, Joshua and Zachary Jarashow Rosenblatt. He is also survived by his grandparents, George Rosenblatt (Jackie), New Jersey; his partner and best friend, Fallon Turner, Winchester, VA; his beloved cat Tarot and dog, Apollo who are missing his cuddles already; many great aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends, and those that have gone on before him and would have greeted him in Heaven.

Luke believed that God is Love and I know he will be waiting for us all at the pearly gates. Thank You for Loving Him……

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Luke’s name to RSO.com and/or Roanoke Diversity Center.

Luke’s last gift of kindness and love was donating his brain to the National Institute of Mental Health to hopefully help those that suffered from the same ailments as he did.

A celebration of Luke’s life will be conducted 6 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with the Rev. Kathy Carpenter officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 4 to 6 PM.

Arrangements by Conner-Bowman Funeral Home & Crematory, 62 VA Market Place Drive, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
