Marjorie Smith Cooper

Marjorie “Maggie” Smith Burdette Cooper, age 72, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017. She was born September 15, 1944 the daughter of the late George Rigg Smith and Thelma Lucille Adkins Smith. Surviving are her husband, Franklin Cooper; four children, Kim Burdette, Kimberly Carter Huddleston, Scotty Burdette, Patrick Burdette; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Jack, Pauline Hodges. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. before the service starts.
