Matt Chandler

Robert Matthew Chandler - August 10, 1982 - June 1, 2023

Our much beloved “Matt” is gone from us and will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

While he accomplished much in his life, the time he spent with his family and friends, whether it was on the golf course with his buddies; playing music and “pickin' and “grinnin', or spending time with family talking about times past, and future plans were his favorite things to do.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert C. Chandler, Jr. and Hazel Fancher Chandler.

He is survived by his father, Robert C. "Bubba" Chandler III of Hardy; his mother, Donna Anne Meredith, Roanoke; brother, Charles Mitchell Chandler, Austin, Texas; his maternal grandparents, Charles S. and Eleanor Thompson Meredith, Rocky Mount.  Matt is also survived by his aunts, Robin Chandler Pendry, Dana G. Meredith, Nashville, TN and Diane E. Meredith, Glade Hill. 

A visitation and gathering will be held at Willow Creek Country Club, 10500 Virgil H. Goode Hwy, Rocky Mount, VA on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 beginning at 6:00 PM. All are welcome to come and celebrate his life.

Funeral services will be private.
