Michael Thomas Clay

Michael Thomas Clay age 64 of Penhook (Pittsylvania County) passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Michael was born on May 26, 1955 a son of the late Robert and Nada Grindstaff Clay. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Robin Patterson-Clay; brother, Billy Clay; and a sister, Kathy Clay. He is survived by his children, Tianna C. Bowers (David); Michael Clay (Ashley Irons), Morgan Clay (Virginia Santana Chireno) and Ashley Clay; five grandchildren, Joshua Clay, Hayleigh Clay, Mason Clay, Aaron Hankins and Hannah Bowers; brother, Bobby Clay, Sr. (Maryanne), sister, Cricket Clay; nephews, Bobby Clay, Jr., Wesley Lovejoy; niece, Mischa Clay. He is also survived by other family members and many friends. The family has requested that flowers and food be omitted and to please consider a memorial donation to the Cool Branch Rescue Squad, 3060 Smith Mountain Road, Penhook, Virginia 24137. In honoring their father’s wishes, there will not be any services.
