Naeshawn William Owens Eugene, age 13 of Boones Mill passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018. Naeshawn loved life and everything about it. He had a passion for sports, any form of water activity, family vacations especially those spent at Myrtle Beach. He had a smile that was contagious and would not stop. A smile that made everyone feel good about themselves and life. He was a loving teenager who was loved and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his birth father, Widlens “Gigi” Eugene; and a great-grandmother, Irene Owens. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his birth mother, Sonya Blankenship; parents, Jimmy, Jr. and Brittany Robbins; sisters, Savanna Owens and Jessica Blankenship; grandparents, Jimmy, Sr. and Donna Robbins, Eliese Romain, Charlie and Sherry “Cheryl” Simmons; very special friends, Deangelo, Jeremiah and Nick. He is also survived by many other family members and numerous friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for you to consider memorial contributions made payable to Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 VA Market Place Drive, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151 to help with costs related to funeral and burial expenses. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday with his family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
