She had many friends in her employment which she considered as family over the years. She greatly enjoyed bluegrass music and travelling the dance circuit with her many special friends. She loved babies, and was very interested in her many great-grandchildren and enjoyed watching as they grew. She loved going to their sporting events and other activities.

The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Mae Conner, Doris Davis, and Carolyn Mattox who provided her with their loving care through this journey. Special thanks also goes to the staff of Carilion Hospice of Franklin County for their exceptional care, especially Hannah Caller, Sabrina Reeves and Helen Wilcox.
