Pauline Young

On Sunday, January 22, 2023, our beloved Pauline Young, passed away peacefully at Highpointe Nursing Home in Buffalo, NY and entered into the nearer presence of our Lord.

Memories of her 90 years made a difference in the lives of others. She is the daughter of the late Richard and Bertha Young of Ferrum, VA and was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Pauline leaves to mourn one sister, Evelyn Tyree, Ferrum; and one brother, Kermit Young (Mary), Chesapeake. She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pauline was a member of Rockfield Primitive Baptist Church where she was faithful from an early age. She retired as a Registered Nurse after serving in the Buffalo area with many years of dedicated service to the community and the profession she dearly loved.

I’m Free Don’t grieve for me, for now I am free.

I’m following the path of God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard Him call,

I could not stay another day.

I found that peace at the close of day…

He set me free.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Elder Herbert Prunty officiating. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 PM until service time.
