Roger Cline Guthrie

Roger Cline Guthrie age 73 of Boones Mill passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He was born on April 27, 1953 a son of the late Walter (W.C.) and Ila Guthrie. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Guthrie.

Roger had a love for cars and spent his life working on them as it was a true joy for him. He was a well-respected auto mechanic.

He is survived by his daughter, Ruby Brogan Guthrie (Jacob); grandsons, Onix and Phoenix; sister, Becky Huthrie; his nephews, Noah Guthrie (Melissa), Joshua Guthrie; niece, Lyndsay Toure (Ousmane); great-nephews, Triston and Benjamin Guthrie, Brian Guthrie and Jaxton Hayden.

Many thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice for their wonderful care and to Whitney Craighead and Janet Mitchum for their compassion and love caring for Roger.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
