Ronald “Ronnie” Blaine Wilson, 63, of Rocky Mount, VA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 19,2023. Ronnie will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a faithful member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Ronnie loved fishing, working in his garden and hanging out with his grandchildren. He was always willing to talk about his Savior and go where he felt the Lord led him. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Frank Wilson and Arlene Iris Campbell Wilson; brothers: Forrest Wilson, Randy Ware Wilson, and Kent Lane Wilson and daughter, Tiffinie Marie Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Shatona Comeaux Wilson; daughter Amie Wilson Edwards (Chris Edwards), and stepchildren; Kylie, Luke and Marisa Jackson; grandchildren: Haley Dunton, Abigail, Jacob and Leah Edwards; siblings: Brett Wilson, Diana Anderson, Vance Tracy Wilson, Victoria Wilson, Kurt Wilson, and Kimberly Wilson (Jennifer); special friend and nephew Xeno Smith, and many other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jun 3, 2023 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church at 11:00, officiated by Pastor David Slayton. The family will receive friends an hour before the service starts.
