Ruby Nichols

Ruby Jean Austin Nichols age 72 of Ferrum passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. She was a hard working mother and grandmother who enjoyed being with family and friends. Ruby was born on July 22, 1949 a daughter of the late Samuel Robert “Bob” and Lera Mae Austin Mullins. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Austin, Leonard Austin, Melvin Austin, James Austin, Buren Austin, Lewis “Red” Austin, Albert Austin and infant brother, J.R. Austin; sister, Lillie Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda “Mindy” Nichols; son, Tim Nichols (Danielle); grandchildren, Ryan Nichols (Brittany), “special grandson”, R. J. Saunders, T.J. Nichols, Isaiah Nichols, T. J. Campensa, Ben Campensa, Chris Campensa; her great-grandchildren, Josie Diane Nichols (Ryan’s daughter), Sydney Nichols, Leland Nichols, Micah Campensa and Nina Campensa; sisters, Eunice Austin Welks, Adelle Scott; special sister-in-law, Lynda Austin. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
