Ruby G. Perdue

Ruby Ayers Perdue, age 66 of Wirtz passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010. After a long and hard fought battle Ruby succumbed to her bout with cancer with her family by her side. A loving wife and caring mother, she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents Buster and Elsie Ayers and one brother Dewey Ayers. Surviving are her husband John W. Perdue; son Chris Perdue; daughter and son-in-law Lisa & Gary Jean-Marie; two grandchildren John Riley Perdue and Gabrielle Jean-Marie; sister Joyce Hale (Eddie); bothers Butch Ayers (Shelby), Ronnie Ayers, James Ayers (Darlene), Donnie Ayers (Carolyn); numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County or to the American Cancer Society. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner Bowman Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Melvin Harris and Pastor Rick Barton officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
