Sarah Elizabeth Stump

Sarah Elizabeth Stump, age 86 of Boones Mill, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022. She was born February 5, 1936 to the late Odie Bowles and Mildred Gibson Bowles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elbert Stump; sisters Dorothy and Ruby and brothers Lloyd and Robert. Ms. Stump loved to crochet and knit. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially looking for four leaf clovers. Surviving are her children Jeff Stump, Becky Smith (William), Cindy Smith (Alvin), Willie Stump (Jodie),Sue Yopp, JD Stump (Lisa); Ten Grandchildren; Thirteen Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Rt. 220 Chapel) 2:00 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor John Sines, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Stump Family Cemetery. Her family will be receiving friends from 1-2 p,m, prior to the service Wednesday at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 Virginia Marketplace Dr., Rocky Mount.
