Shirleane Elizabeth Luokkala

Shirleane Elizabeth Luokkala entered into eternal rest on Sunday,

April 2, 2023 at her home in Goodview, VA surrounded by her loving family. 

Shirleane will be interned in the Westview Cemetery of Blacksburg, VA, her

childhood home next to her father and mother.  A private graveside service will be held and Shirleane will live in our hearts and minds and be remembered forever.

Shirleane is survived by her husband, Peter Luokkala and had been married

thirty-one years.  Also surviving are her children Richard (Joette), Sherry (Joseph),

Theresa (Daniel); brothers Freddie (Theresa), Jerry (Jane); sisters Jean (Earl), Hazel, Fay (Buddy), and Nina; grand-daughters Carrie and Nicole; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, her special friends Sherry and brother-in-law, Earl; and her in-laws on her husband’s side: sons, Peter and his brother Brandon (Amy), Donald (Jean), Gordon, Gerald (Roberta), Barbara and Nancy.
