Travis Hicks

Travis Floyd Hicks, age 35 of Rocky Mount, VA was called home on November 30, 2023.  Travis was a family man who never met a stranger, cared for everyone, and always had a smile on his face.  He was born March 19, 1988 to William and Shirley Powell.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilfred and Ruby Hicks; and uncles Junior, Ronnie, and Richard Hicks.  He is survived by his parents, William and Shirley Powell; fiancé, Abigale Freeland; children, Haley, Landon, Karsie, Tucker, and Hylix; stepchildren, Ryder, Rayner, Rowyn; sisters, Crystal Hicks (J.R.), Brittany (Ashley Goss); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

 Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Coleman officiating.  Interment will follow in Monte Vista Church of the Brethren Cemetery.    The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.   Arrangements by Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 VA Market Place Drive, Rocky Mount, VA  24151.
