Walter Clingenpeel

Walter D. Clingenpeel, 90, of Boones Mill, passed away Wednesday, August, 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sarah Clingenpeel; brothers, Winford and Gordon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Barbara Clingenpeel; two caring daughters, Cindy Lowe and Susan (Mark) Davis; special grandchildren, Bethany Avery (Jon), Ben Davis, and Rachel Lowe; great-granddaughters, Lydia and Robin Avery; Godson, Matthew Hubbard; special adopted grandchildren, Abby Miller, Hunter & Caroline Hinkley; siblings, Delma Clingenpeel (Alma), Alice Mae "Sis" Price (Eli); brother-in-law, J. W. Davis; and special thanks to his caregivers, Monica, Heather, and Mary.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, VA. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 5 until 7 p.m.
