Carla Ann Dawson, age 34 of Callaway, VA passed away on April 28, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Dale Hodges; Great-Grandma, Nellie Ashworth Soyars; Grandpa, Douglas Paul “Fuzzy” Hodges; uncle, Stacy Wayne Hodges and Tom Soyars; Nephew, Tegan Church. She is survived by her special love of 8 years, Juan Gonzalez; mother Juanita “Nette” Dawson and daddy Larry Smith; mother and father-in-law, Roberto Gonzalez and Maria Hernandez; grandparents, Sherry Hodges, Racheal and Jimmy Boyd, and Susie Hodges; children, Trinity Nelson, Lacey Nelson, Natalie Gonzalez; step-daughter, Jaylon Gonzalez; siblings, Monica Church, Casey Dawson, Ryan Nichols (Brittany) Zachary Hodges, Brett Smith (Courtney); nephews, Rylee Williams, Brayden Dawson; nieces, Montana Smith, Tensley Dawson, Sadie Church, Aubrey Miller, and Avery Smith. She is also survived by special friends, Tasey Perdue, Ashley Goss, Juanna Gonzalez, Kayla Gonzalez, Mary Hernandez; aunts and uncles, Deborah Hodges (Ricky), Becky Smith (Steve), Jamie Boyd (Crystal), Chelsea Furrow (Mike), crystal Collins (Mark), Melinda Hodges, Peggy Boston, Mary Altice (Ruben), Tracy Gonzalez (Johnny), and Melony Oakes. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Denver Turner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
