Steven “Stevie” Hurley 52 of Rocky Mount, VA. passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Stevie was born February 1, 1970 to Carolyn (Judy) Chitwood. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Jewell Chitwood. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angela Hurley; son, Michael Hurley, Jr. (Stephanie) and grandson, Carson Hurley and bonus son, Jacob Johnson; three sisters, Eva Riddle Moser, Nicole Goff (Billy), Crystal Chitwood; two bonus sisters, Kim Williams and Jennifer Dillon; two brothers, Timmy Chitwood (Barbara), Joey Chitwood; five special nieces, Brittany Janney, Kylee Chitwood, Lexi Smith, Savannah and Cheyenne Jones; one special nephew, Trevor Janney; two very special cousins, Chris Hodges and Anthony Hodges; three special friends, Eldridge Starkey (Jamie), Kirby Shipman (Laurie) and Gary Carroll. A special thanks to his team that stood with him UNIT STRONG. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Friday, June 10, 2022 at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren, Rocky Mount, VA with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 6:00 PM at the church.
